3 Steps to Taking Care of Your Under Eyes
Our eyes are extremely important. There is a saying that the eyes are the gateway to our soul. The eyes are the first to tell our age. The skin around our eyes is very thin and delicate, so this area needs a lot of tender, love, and care. Below are some simple steps we can perform daily to help maintain the youthfulness of our eyes.
1.) Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water. If your under eyes are looking dark, greyish, or just dull; reflect on your water intake. Our eyes will let us know if we are dehydrated. Increase your water intake for about a week and analyze your eyes.
2.) Sleep
Are you getting enough rest?! I know we live in a society where we are always hustling. Yet, we need to take care of ourselves and make sure we are getting enough sleep. During the day our skin is in a proactive state. Our skin is working hard fighting off the “bad” elements in our environment. During the night, the skin goes into repair mode and rejuvenate new skin cells. It's very important for us to rest!
3.) Eye Cream
I love a good eye cream. An eye cream will help add extra moisture underneath the eyes. When applying an eye cream use your ring finger. This finger will allow you to apply less pressure under your eyes. Lately, I have been using my Coconut Oil and Shea Butter eye cream. Coconut Oil and Shea Butter does wonders for the skin. A little goes a long way with this mixture.
